Foam-Tite® Technical Data
Foam-Tite® gaskets and seals are engineered and built with thermoplastic vulcanizates to provide high quality and long life service in the most demanding conditions.
The Foam-Tite® product is superior in performance to flexible PVC/TPE, EPDM, and urethanes.
The patented multi-extruder system provides unparalleled design flexibility to the fenestration industry. In addition to a comprehensive standard product line, a complete in-house tool and die facility ensures quick development on custom applications.
ZERO CALLBACKS means that a specification of Foam-Tite® weatherseals will prevent costly field service due to replacement of inferior alternatives.
Foam-Tite® Features
Foam-Tite® has excellent compression set
resistance and does not flatten out after
installation. Sealing integrity is maintained
long after the competition fails.
Unique sealing flaps ensure that the highest air and water ratings are achieved. Foam-Tite® seals maintain a positive seal despite any manufacturing variances or installation issues.
Comparative testing reveals average results of a 65% decrease in air infiltration and a 12% increase in water resistance.
There is virtually no water absorption compared with wrapped urethane products. ASTM C1083-91 tests show less than 1% of weight gained compared to 87% for the competition.
The skin is a uniform coating that has no exposed seams which resists tears, punctures, and will not delaminate.
Inherent characteristics of Foam-Tite® provide immediate results in STC applications. TPV construction of skin and foam makes the product weldable, recyclable, and provides excellent UV resistance.
Standard and custom colors are available to match any profile color. All seals are tested to AAMA 701/2-00 standards and have received category 1 ratings in compression set and shrinkage.
Custom fabrication is available to provide ready to install products.
Pro-Slip® II
A revolutionary new UHMW coating that is applied to the Foam-Tite® product for use in sliding applications.
Low operating force – Up to 40% less compared to PE clad urethane.
Long-term durability – Resists punctures and tearing due to sharp corners. Shows no wear after 100K + operating cycles.
Useful applications: Easy tilt jambliners, patio doors, meeting rails, STC windows.
